EMPLOYER ENGAGEMENT
Business In The Community
Following the success of our celebration lunch in November, Stuart Stokes, our Catering and Hospitality Manager, provided catering for a BITC event at the Liverpool Daily Post and Echo.
Our Principal, Frank Gill and Employer Services Director, Vicky Deakin attended as guests of the Liverpool Cares Award event. The Business In The Community Cares Campaign involves employee involvement in volunteering and community projects.
It is pleasing to report that following their mandatory work placements, a number of our undergraduates continue to work as volunteers at Claire House and Natural Breaks.
Partnership Board For Higher Education
(Jaguar, Merseytravel and Tubedale Communications)
Following the requests of a number of employers the Board decided to put forward proposals for changes in the HE computing provision. The proposals of accreditation for individual units such as web design and programming have now been put forward to Edge Hill for approval.
The Board also recommended that a new hybrid HE course, consisting of business and computing units should be offered in the next academic year.

I would like to thank all the employers who hosted our undergraduates this year, including, Blue Cube, Brainboxes, Christopher Grange, Computer Plus, Curry’s Technical Support, Keir, Liverpool Legal Services, Liverpool Council, Macrovision, Merseyprint and Virgin Telewest.
