EMPLOYERS’ CELEBRATION OF ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS

The fifth annual Celebration of Achievement Awards took place at the end of November in the College’s Expressions Restaurant.

The Guest Speaker, Mr Paul Morrissey, Director of the Tubedale Group, gave an extremely interesting presentation describing the need for businesses to be innovative in the current economic climate.  He highlighted some of the barriers he had experienced whilst developing his own film-making company, giving an insight into how all businesses need to balance resources, profits and success in a volatile business climate.

This event was attended by both employers and partners to recognise and celebrate the various collaborative achievements which had taken place throughout the year.  Attendance at the event was superb, with 80 employers represented, and a total of 135 guests; Expressions Restaurant was “comfortably full”, as were all of the guests after a fabulous lunch provided by the staff and students of the College restaurant.

This year achievements included exceptional success and timely completion rates;  curriculum development of higher education courses;  the continual employer contribution work within the forums, inspections, Partnership Board and Governors’ meetings.

A number of KCC delivery staff also received awards for their exceptional employer feedback and outcomes, including outstanding delivery feedback, flexibility of delivery and repeat business.
A full list of award winners will shortly be published on our KA website.

Partnership Board
We welcome a new member, Liz Mercer, NHS, PCT.  Liz has recently been working with colleges on a number of vocational courses including ILM.  The Board are currently working on feedback for key performance indicator data, mystery shopping, the Employer Handbook and the KA website.
