Women into Business Awards

The Northwest Women in Business Awards was held in Warrington this year.
This was an inspiring event with many women demonstrating their entrepreneurial skills.  It was encouraging to listen to successful businesses continuing to grow and expand in the current economic climate.

Girl Power

Mersey Care

Knowsley Community College and Mersey Care NHS Trust’s High Secure Services have joined forces to collaborate on the development of a programme of vocational studies, which will lead to certificated awards for patients residing at Ashworth Hospital.

The programme delivered within the existing Rehabilitation Services Department of Ashworth Hospital aims to enhance and accredit the practical vocational skills of patients.

Designing the programme has created opportunities for staff from both organisations to work together, understand the learners’ training needs and interests, and share best practice and plan innovative approaches to delivering and accrediting practical learning.

Partnership Board Meeting

The Partnership Board met to discuss a wide range of topics.  High on the agenda was the necessity for the Employer Response section to measure the impact of training and business growth and sustainability.

The Board discussed key performance indicators and efficient ways to collect data from a wide range of training the KCC offer.
