Success Story
Congratulations to Lee Shipley who is currently working for the POA.
Lee completed a second year placement and was based at Ashworth Hospital but travelled around the county including the Isle of Wight. He is now working part time at the POA to coincide with his last year of his degree.
ENTERPRISE AWARDS 2008
Knowsley Community attended the Enterprise awards this month and were the proud sponsors of the category for “Most innovative Business or Organisation”. The college has been delivering logistics training to a local firm who have been nominated for an enterprise and a GoSkills award.
Radcliffe Taxis and Road Passenger Transport
The GoSkills Passenger Transport Awards ceremony, is due to take place in London at Lord’s, the home of Cricket, on the evening of 13 November 2008
Mike Radcliffe proprietor of ‘Radcliffe Taxis’ and ‘Kirkby Choice Kabs’ decided 12 months ago that he would like all his drivers to achieve the VRQ in Road and Passenger Transport. He wanted his business to have a competitive edge whilst maintaining core company values.
He wanted his drivers to understand the importance of good customer service with all customers. He wanted his drivers to understand how important it was that they could provide empathy and understanding with disabled customers as well as how to transport them safely.
